In recent years, a threat has been growing and is the microbial resistance, antibiotics are increasingly less effective against bacteria that increasingly become more and more resistant, so in that way diseases like tuberculosis or others like the gonorrhea that are completely treatable, soon it will be a big problem in the health of millions of persons.

However, beyond designing new antibiotics, the answer to this problem are the nanomaterials...
Scientist around the world develop ways in which nanoparticles that are conformed by metals like Ag, Cu, Zn, Mg among others, reach to the bacterias and cause a series of negative and harmful effects like disruption in the chain respiratory, disruption in the membrane, ribosome destabilization among others negative effects in the bacteria.

It is positive that the bacteria can not at the moment develop defenses against this new weapon, it give us hope to fight this great global threat for all, however this technology has started very recently, so some years are missing to see this technology reach to the people, meanwhile as a student of pharmacy or sciences we must promote the correct uses of antibiotics like use for the correct time and against bacterias and not the viruses.
